Klagenfurt am Wörthersee
The “Neue Platz” outside the city hall is the real centre of Klagenfurt.
At its heart is the Lindwurm, the emblem of Klagenfurt, originally a two-footed dragon that reminds us of the legendary beginnings of the city. Lendkanal & Europapark
The Lendkanal is an idyllic waterway leading from Lake Wörth into the old town. The Europapark, opened in 1967, spans an area of 22 hectares and is one of Austria’s largest parks. Its name stands for the cosmopolitanism of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee and the park is popular with locals and tourists alike as a recreation area conveniently located between Klagenfurt and Lake Wörth.
Pyramidenkogel
The world’s highest observation tower made of wood measures almost 100 metres and is built from ingeniously arranged wooden supports that form a spiral winding its way up into the sky. The tower offers fantastic views across Lake Wörth.
